Well, this is my first photo from Sri Lanka. No monks, no temples, just a funny scene of the wild life.
The monkeys are very important part of the Ceylon landscape. But this one just reminds me the famous photo of the great scientist.
To be continued.

hi serghei. your first post is a good post. indeed, not a sight that we would associate with sri lanka at first hand, but some might prefer seeing something different from famous places. and with an einstein attitude, this monkey tries to prove darwin right :)

Excellent portrait of the tongue sticking-out monkey, unique facial expression, and in fine resolution with blurred background, and natural coloring.
I resecently watched a documentary that proposed evolution was not just chance but also included unknown to us factors or perhaps divine involvement. The argument was that chance alone would have difficulty in evolving life and all its complexities.
Have an excellent weekend,

The tree is helping to frame the monkey. The point of view is showing with precision the details and colours of the monkey. The good luminosity is bringing out the colours. Have a nice day.

Dobryi vetcher Serghe´, I identify easily a Macaca radiatta individual (bonnet macaque), perfect sharpness, it's eating a fruit but I don't know what it is exactly, very funny capture of that primate with pleasant colors, spoko´no´ notchi, do skorovo

Not being at all familiar with Sri Lanka, I have been anxious to see what you would share from your trip. A great way to start, the expression on this monkeys face is funny...quite a human characteristic for sure! :) I've only seen them in zoo's, I can't imagine what it must be like to have them roaming around freely and pickpocketing the tourists. haha
A really nice close-up of this little fella', you did a nice job capturing the detail and emotion. A solid depth of field too, separating him from the background so that we can focus on the main subject. Can't wait to see the next. This would make Einstein smile, there really is a resemblance! :))
Take care amigo,

Priviet Serghei, so you are at home now. For how long, Mr I.F.? Funny shot and wonderful close up. In India there were also many different monkeys and very close. It happened that they got in the room. fantastic expression of this monkey genius well done.
Warm regrads Malgo

This is a surprising first photo from Sri Lanka, but it's a nice picture with an amusing title. You capured the monkey very well with good sharpness and a perfect light. The trunk of the tree makes a very nice curve along the side, placing the monkey in a kind of half circle. The background is very nicely blurred.

super shot this and a perfect pose, and yes I can see the likeness here, and not just the great man himself. Wonderfully captured with perfect detail and timing. Excellent!
Have a great weekend - B.

This would bring a smile to any face, very cute little chap, and I love the face he is pulling. I wonder if he saw your camera and did this deliberately :)
Love the food in his hand too, it makes a big impact on the final result with the bright burst of color!
Really looking forward to seeing your shots from this amazing country.
All the best

the title of this photo caught my attention.
I think I know about the photo you're referring too...was there a photo where he had his tongue sticking out? yes?
Its always amazing to see the eyes in monkeys or apes..they are so human-like.
and you captured that here too.
