When travelling I'm a big fan of public transport. In my home country I'd be a bigger fan of it, were it not that most western countries seem to be built for cars.
Personally I don't really believe in the "my car, my freedom" motto - unless it's the freedom to choose the music played in it. Quite important too, actually...
This picture shows the front of a public bus in Colombo.
It was not moving when I took this picture.
And, o yes, with ManuMay's dedication in mind...
I just had to come up with another deep purple reference, didn't I?

I think, this title is good tribute to Deep Purple.
Yes, I also remember these Indian colourful buses and tracks. Amazing view. TFS!

The designer of this bus never heard the expression "less is more".
Well seen, however, and very nicely cropped.

During my travels in India and Népal I tried to do similar shot but I was never convinced by the results of my shots. It seems you succeeded with this shot. The front point of view was a good idea as the composition is then balanced by the colors.

Deep Purple in the title and Led Zeppelin in the note! I guess I wouldn't have any problem sharing the road (and the stereo!) with you for a while! Cool frontal shot, especially with such a colorful bus!

Just you keep rambling dear Benny
I hear you loud and clear! As I do the dulcet tones of Deep Purple. Love the reference and also agree with you about public transport. Now that we have iPods ecc, the choice of music on pub trans is even better! Excellent tight framing, wonderful vivid colours and choice of subject. You and Craig must have been telepathic today with your choice of subjects.
PS: anniversary of Freddy Mercury's death yesterday. I've still not recovered properly

A well chosen and framed shot. The close cropping works perfectly. Great colours and sharpness. You would feel like a highway star driving this bus.
