I believe that portrait photography is, at least to me, one of the biggest challenges for a photographer, specially when not being in a studio and having a controlled enviroment. You tried hard and the picture is good, but for some reason the colors aren't bright enough to me, nor sharp. Seeing your settings I can tell that you got it right as you used a big apperture as supposed, but i don't know what went slightly wrong, probably the flash speed, probably you just need some extra postprocessing job...I don't know.
Keep up the good work, man!
