Photographer’s Note
Second of the series on the elephants in the Pinnewala elephant orphanage.
The Pinnewala Elephant Orphanage in Sri Lanka is located about 30 kms from Kandy. This orphanage houses about 80 elephants of all ages from really cute and inquisitive babies to mature and aging pachyderms. There is an entry fee for visiting this place and for some "tips" one can actually feed the elephants some milk and also help them with their daily bath.
This place really does get you spellbound marveling at one of the largest but gentle of the land species.

Extra ce portrait de famille!!
J'aime beaucoup ce cadre serré dans lequel on a l'impression que chacun veut se glisser..
Best regards

Hi Vivek,
nice composition with good framing and clarity. The baby elephants are really cute. It seems to me that the elephants wanted you to take a family picture.

J'aime beaucoup le traitement effectué sur cette photo avec un effet lissé sur la peau rugueuse des éléphants et le B&W etait le choix le plus judicieux. Un cadrage serré tout autant efficace pour montrer la force de cet amas de muscle.

Hi Vivek,
I am amazed to see how close you could approach to these beautiful animals. With their babies amongst them, i think they should be ready to run towards any human being who is about to try coming close to them. Or maybe a really effective zoom is the point in this shot. Anyway, the details, unorthodox crop and coloring are great here. TFS,

Hallo! =)
I like the framing here a lot, the kids between the old elephants. It's really looking like a strong family, elephants are always looking so wise. =)
I think B&W was a good choice, it's still giving a "warm impression" (hope you know what I mean).
I like it a lot.
Greetings from germany
