Photographer's Note

Somewhere in the middle of nowhere in the hillcounty of the centre of Sri Lanka we were taking a short brake and a few curious boys joined us with a lot of questions.
Always a good moment to wait for a good moment to make a portrait. The light was very good - the sun was hiding behind the clouds.

A fine portrait. As you say, the indirect light was very good. I guess he was aware of you taking his photo but too cool (or shy) to watch the camera, which was quite fortunate. His shirt is remarkable. It looks like he's wearing his best clothes.

good portrait with the young boy on a pose that makes us think a bit of his life as his smile doesn't transmit a sense of hapiness so typical of the young kids.

The exposure and focus are spot on!
