The 3-Wheeler Driver, a photo from Central, South

Photographer's Note

Three wheelers are a common way to get around Sri Lanka (like India)... they are cheap and convenient for short trips. There's a lot of under-employment in SL, so there are always a lot of 3-wheelers hanging about, you can usually take your pick. This guy had a 3-wheeler with chrome plated everything and it was spotlessly clean.

Good point of view, and good idea to use B&W, pity about the glare behind the driver, and I'd have been nice to see a bit more detail in the cab (curves?) but nice original shot.

And that bemused half smile on the driver is a winner, he must think you're nuts Hahahaha!

Josh, you are begining to have your signature on your pictures, with the grain and high contrast i could tell it's your shot.

VERY nice, Josh. Even though you were under extreme light conditions, you still managed to get detail in the man's face...this feat by itself deserves top marks. As for the compo, looking though the door at the guy, is amazing. Good immagination and a wonderful shot to boot. Well done!

Your perspective makes the vehicle look so spacious (but your workshop disproved that!) Clean lines and shapes make the cab look very inviting and the driver caps this one off nicely. Very rich photograph; love the high contrast.

I missed that one Josh. I love those rickshaws, and soon will be in those.. I miss the color a bit, but thanks to your composition thre is a human presence, looking at us.. better like that
