Baker's Falls Photo

Photographer’s Note

The circular walk to World's End loops back via a river and Baker's Falls. The pretty scenery makes for a very pleasant stroll back from the end of the Earth. When we started this walk at 7.00 it was cold and misty. By the time we reached these falls it was bright sunshine and very hot.

bel endroit avec un cadrage superbe sur cette cascade. J'aime bien la partie haute de la photo avec ces branches qui viennent entourer la photo.

Glad you go to see the waterfalls. There are millions of them in Sri Lanka. A nice capture and full of vitality. Like the sky and the rich colours. Good portrait format to capture the composition in this way.

Hi Jonathan, A beautiful shot with excellent colors and nice PoV. You have well captured the dynamics of the water fall. I like the frame you have with the braches on the top. A well taken picture.

Hi Jonathan,
What a nice stroll must this has been. This view is very nice, but I'm sure no photo can show the real beauty of the place. Good saturation of colours and very well balanced lighting. The composition framed on top by the silluettes of the branches works well and enhances the dynamic scene of this beautiful scenary.

Hi Jonathan,
Refreshing waterfall. Although branches in front are giving more depth to pictures and mostly improve the composition I think in this case I should have cropped them. Gives you more the idea the water is falling out of the sky. But of course that is very personal. Your choice is lovely too.

Hi Jonathan - wonderful and refreshing, I like how the branches fill the sky, a longer exposure might also be interesting to smooth the waterfall, butb the frozen in time version also works.
