A very clever composition that also benefits much from the excellent light. Superb rendering of the tones and textures in plumage and stonework.

Zdravo Serghei. A harmonious image in terms of colours, mood and details.I know the bird is not small, so the blocks of stone must be large and so too the carved pieces. Nice composition having the still water in the background. The feet of the bird are also green! Best wishes. Klaudio.

A bit of nature and a bit of ancient culture. You have combined these nicely in a graphically interesting composition, completely free of unnecessary details. There's a fine balance of green and grey, with the bird matching the surroundings perfectly.

J'aime beaucoup cette composition. Le héron gris est parfaitement placé dans l'image. On dirait que la couleur de ses pattes est coordonnée avec celle de l'eau.L'ensemble est d'une très belle netteté.

Hey there, ya' globetrotter...how are you doing my dear friend? I was immediately intrigued by the background color of this one. It's such a different shade of green that I couldn't quite understand until I looked at the WS picture. It does wonders to help separate the foreground detail with solid contrast. Three simple elements to this composition, and each one works in harmony with the other. I really like this angle you've taken, emphasizing the curves of the structure with the bird as a main point of focus and subject. These have been great photos from Sri Lanka, I've quite enjoyed the originality of things you've presented...thinking outside of the "norm." :) One more little detail that makes up the whole of this locale, one that most would probably miss. Nicely done! Enjoy the weekend ahead amigo. Take it easy.
Friendliest wishes from Arizona,

I like this simple photo with lovely details. The bird with skinny legs, the green water, and the stones are all bathed in warm sunlight. The WS photo helps to put it all in context. I hope you're doing well! :-)

I like this close up of the bird and the wall it is standing on. The blurred surface of the water provides a pleasant background.
