Shapes, Colours, and a Little Boy Photo

Photographer’s Note

Well, I guess I'm back to shooting people surrounded by concrete, but I couldn't resist this one.

I had a big, strange eighties designed building that was just asking to be photographed. All I needed was a figure to enter the frame. I took a few of people coming down the steps, but i settled on this one in the end. Unfortunately part of the photo is a tad overexposed though.

Its from Children's Grand Park in Busan. Its a place that was built in the 80's (the architecture of the place reflects this) and it's a nice place to walk around on the weekend albeit a bit crowded!

I like this composition, where the abstract pattern of the building is perfectly balanced by the human presence. I like this kind of pictures.

Hi Will,
It shows that you are critical of your own work.
Excellent capture - good idea to include the boy sothat one can exactly feel the dimensions.
And by showing the boy leaving - you still manage to create a certain atmosphere.

Hey good composition here. The colours are very subtle and the boy adds a lot to the picture.

I haven't made any plans on going on o a photo shoot. Are you in busan?

Hi Will. Very nice shot with a good POV. The colour of the pillars judiciously matched with that of the staircase. And the boy walking away with his hands grazing on the wall is an added beauty. Great. Regards.
