My Tribute To UFOs Photo

Photographer’s Note

Seoul (capital city of Korea) has a lot going for it. It has visiting bands, artisits, and a whole host of other fun and exciting things. In you live outside of the capital, however, you don't get access to all those things. You have try and be satisfied with anything that comes your way. But most of the time you'll be dissapointed (especially World Dino Expo 95).

The weekend was the APEC anniversary (Korea hosted it two years ago) and to commemorate it they have a big fireworks display. The day before they have a laser display off the Gwangan Bridge. I knew that it would be crap, but i had nothing else to do so sod it I thought.

It was crap and i cursed myself for going as i waited 30 mins for the masses of people to leave so i could leave.

Where do UFOs come into the tale? Well in this shot, I think the people lining up gazing at the laser display resembles people gazing at some UFO in the distance.

Will - i like your UFO concept shot! Its great to see the people standing calmly staring out into the mysterious lights. Almost hypnotic!

Very nice work, Will, your idea is perfectly illustrated with no need for explanation. One of the better "from the back" compos I've seen actually, really well seen.

Well seen and captured.... it surely look like a scene from 'Aliens' :) The B&W made the laser lights more pronounced. Well composed and very good tones and contrast. Well done! tfs

Hello Will!
Very nice capture, with excellent framing on the scenery. The freeze people looks like really captured by UFOs. The ambience has very nice atmosphére, and the lights are really amazing. Well taken!
