Photographer’s Note
I went back to the tunnel where I took a similar photo a few days ago. The photo from then is ok, but I was a bit concerned about the POV (shot from the ground) and overall sharpness. This time I took a tripod and waited for a suitable chance. I wanted to get closer to the action this time and have a figure closer to the frame.
Post processing invovled levels, saturation and sharpening.

The person is well placed in the photo - looks like a ghost. Darkness and green colors cast also helps to create the mood here.
Square format works well here.
Your second attempt looks much better than the first photo of the tunnel.

Really like this Will, great atmosphere.
Somehow i get a very german/WWII feel from it -- feels like the guy should be marching to the beat of a different drum while dressed in full gestapo gear.
I have lived in korea for over 4 years now but i dont feel inspired like you or jinju to take photos like this one - so i am GREEN with envy :o.
Very menacing, very good. Though I am sure you've already tried it - I changed it to B&W and posted to a workshop.

Hi Will,
...and a not so ordinary picture. Excellent low POV, the subject is well positioned but with a higher ISO you could have avoide the motion blur.

The acid, cool color, gives the tunnel an added surreal feeling. I like the way it curves out of sight, leaving us to guess what is beyond. The man is well placed and the movement blur is just right. I assume that this is the colour as it came from the camera, caused by the fluorescent lights, no doubt. I wonder is you tried modifying it at all. It might not be any better, with warmer colour, but it would be different. This way , it looks creepy, which is how I expect you wanted it to look.Anyway, it's a ncie image. Regards Kevin

Hi Will. When I saw the title to this post I thought you were going to tell us that this was a secret tunnel to North Korea - but when I read the note to your previous post of this tunnel I discovered it was closer to home. This post is definitely the better of the two and the positon of the man is perfect (with just the right movement blur). I am surprised that this tunnel would be able to take traffic with such a sharp curve in it. Cheers . . . David

For the most part, I like this. I love that green colour you got, as much as I appreciate Steve's workshop.
It is, however a little tight on the left. I might have been tempted to crop about two cm from the bottom to balance it out. Anyway, these are small things. I think this is a nice picture.

Cool shot Will, and there's no light at the end of that tunnel, just more tunnel. I'm glad you went back for this one. This composition is so much better than the last. The tunnel has life here, through the addition of the walking man and the taller format. The shot is sharp with a great mood. The green we see here. Is this natural, or is it caused by the florescent light?
Thanks, John

I like this tunnel. A bit eeree looking due to the lack of an exit. Great light adds a lot to the mood. The lone man walking is a great addition here.
