well - more then likely most relationships don't last - but she seems to be doing quite well right now - very nice and safe place she found for herself - i like it :)
good perspective given by the zebra and nicely matching sets of shapes and colors - his camouflage uniform and the green of the trees and shapes of the pavement, her colorful blouse and the advertisings in the distance.
well seen!

Cool one, Rafal, another happy chance well seized. But, buddy, don't you see this one in BW?
I mean I really think so...

Hi R. A well seen almost intimate moment with the couple by the traffic lights. The way she is holding on to him might signify an impending military leave. Also a good deep perspective with the urban setting, not too long ago you would have blurred hell out of that background ;o) I like that you kept it in color and I don't see this one in b&w, pretty much in order to preserve the color scheme of the main actors and their utensils.

Hi Ralaf
The colors really pop. Nice comp and good depth. Interesting moment you have captured here. Love the bag, was it 'hello kitty' haha. Well done.

Hey Rafal,
Viewing it from a thumbsnail I didn't notice this was a man. His camouflage seem to work visualy. Despite the busy detailing, the pedestrian lines, pavement texture all seem to work very well. You see contrasting elements of the main subject, a strong military man carrying a brightly coloured pink bag with a young woman desperately hanging to their last moments. Mentioning the fact about short term relationships with couples involved in the military, depends on how strong their faith they have in each other, some can't wait, some really hang-on and get their inspiration. I find the image very intimate, the longer you stare you get more emotions run into you're mind. A clever title too ;)
Oh well...just reminds me on the movie The Thin Red Line, one story a young soldier's love at the end devastates, very poignant film.
Pozdrawiam!

Rafal,
A great shot of the girl hugging her boyfriend. I love the colours and agree keeping it in colour just for that pink bag alone. I like the wide angle and the way it includes the busy street and that graphic zebra crossing which seems to draw you in like a magnet. Great shot. I posted a shot from the other weekend at the fountain in city hall.
Cheers
Peter

Really glad you posted this in colour Raf, the contrast in colour between the pink/red against the more darker army clothing is great, as well as managing to include the zebra crossing.

Hi Rafal,
Very interesting shot! The many graphical oppositions work very well in your shot. As a result 1) The couple appear as graphically opposed (this contradicts the position of the two of course) and 2) the couple as a unity is opposed to the linearity of the environment (the zebras). A multi-layers story...

Hello Rafal!
Second Korean shot for me today... this time in colour. I was actually surprised to see your name next to it, I guess things have changed since I was last around these parts.
Nice simple street shot and I see that the zebra crossing has managed to sneak in even in colour.
I like the small detail of the man's hand on the girl's dress.
Nicely done. TFS, Lewis.

Spectacular stolen moment, Rafal. You must spent a lot of time on the streets with your camera ready, to get such delicious urban moments. And this so funny. The pink back on his hand, stricked military posture, eyes on the lights. "Get off me! Don't embarasse me in Public!". But then you were there and now we all saw this tender gesture of her. Yes, they are seen from the back, but this couldn't work any other way. Great shot!
Ricardo
p.s.- I'm glad that you went on color on this one.

Rafal! You're finally here again...:-)
From what the picture tells us, this one should last... the moment is intimate and it is discreet of you to shoot them from behind, as she is embracing him that way too. Love the way he is clutching her hot pink bag with one hand and her slender waist with the other while she is embracing him. A poignant and passionate moment and am glad you left it in colour, Rafal. Fantastic work!

Very tender, Rafal, a tender moment. I like your commentary and the urgency that you speak of there. Very nice.

pozdrowienia,
Grzesiek

Hi Rafal.
Good perspective.
You made something difficult: you could see the photo in the street.
It's graphical and plenty of contrasts. But at the same time is a daily life scene.
No doubt, an interesting work.
Regards.

aaiiiiiii!!! 2.5 yrs! what a waste of life!
What I find amusing here is the 2 sets of
zebra crossings one next to another - haven't
seen that before!
I also like reds and pinks in the FG repeating
further up on top of the building across, and
inclusion of that 'red man' traffic light indicating
it's not yet safe to cross... and fine compo.
Robi
PS.... and, I can't see this one in b/w, either! maybe
I'm wrong...

Hello Rafal
This is a scene which wouldn't have worked if captured from the other side. Even through we see quarter of a face, we can for sure imagine what's going on, the undercurrent of emotions & also possible imagine the circumstances...A very tender photograph from you & that too in colour.
With Regards

Pozdrawiam serdecznie,
Jurek

Hi Rafal,
This image is so interesting for so many things... You have captured a very intimate moment while the scene occurs in a very open and large space. We can see the movement of the city, but the eyes get trapped by the delicate embrace of the young girl to her loved soldier in a very static, quiet moment. A very emotive instant in the middle of the city... Excellent work!
