Photographer’s Note
It's not a Buddhist celebration without lanterns ... I chose this shot because I liked the way the lanterns snaked and linked together in long lines.
The shot was taken in Jogye Temple, one of Seoul's most famous and most important Buddhist temples.

Hi SuperDave,
Haha, the background colours of the monk some days ago... What does it remind me of? Hmmm... I wonder! :-) Nice one!
I saw these lanterns and I immediately thought 'I've seen that pattern in colours somewhere before?!'. Yeah, I admit. I spend too much time on TrekEarth ;-).
I like the pattern, not just in colours but also how they are hanging from the beginning of the picture going further down. The backlight is quite intense, but it's still okay. Wondering what the effect of a polarizer would have been on this shot! Nice picture!
Greetings, Dennis

Bright and colorful, David
I like the way you show variety of colors which are lined up in their own lines. Amazing how they form a simple graphic shot.
Nice POV.

hi dave
it would have been hard to keep the details and retain the clear colours without blowing it out or blurring it. but i think this has turned out well. you should be well pleased with this one... good job!
