Nice and soft candlelight colors below. Hard recognizable silloutte on top with a white 'glow' and some birds flying over to find a nice cozy place to spend the evening. You hit the jackpot with this one, congratulations! Gilbert
Edit: also the formation in which they are flying fits this picture. (:

Magnifique et conviviale grâce aux lampes. C'est ce que je pense en regardant cette photo. J'aime beaucoup le cadrage. Bravo Bennett. A bientôt.

Great lighting effect. Good job you caught the herons in the picture too. I think you could even let the sky be a bit darker to increase the dramatic effect.
Thanks for sharing!

nother great shot bennett ... your series from the buddhist festival are great. you should make a theme or travelogue for them.
the idea to put the lanterns at the bottom was great. that left space for the nice silhouette of the temple and the birds (lucky capture).
well done.

Great work Bennett, the lamps look lovely with their slightly warm glow and youve caught this at the perfect time of day.

This is beautiful. The herons in the sky are the soul of this shot Bennet. Theres something mystical about them. The building and the lanterns are beautifully exposed and give this shot a fantastic lower half. But the birds do it for me.

Picture: Good. Haiku: So-so. Just kidding on the second part. (Started off as a Haiku but went another 10 syllables long. Then I realized it wasn't a Haiku after all. So sorry.) As for the picture, WOW is all I can say. What's to improve on this excellent composition? (I'm stumped.) The lanterns on the upper right corner just adds another dimension to this pic. It mimics the direction of the birds. This should be submitted to an Asian airline for their yearly calendars that they put out.
This is a keeper. This pics will join my favorites in a few clicks. Thanks for sharing! Kamsahamnida! - Mike Opinia

Great photo!!!
I love the black building against the blue sky... The birds add a lot of interest to the otherwise plain sky and the lanterns obviously make up for the 'mysterious' feeling you talk about in your note. I also like very much the 3 lanterns in the upper right corner...
Very nice overall composition, with many - but not too many - interesting subjects.
