Just down from my apartment there was an enormous boom! A model house had caught fire and after being scared to hell, I went and took some pictures.
the boom was because of the gas tanks. there were dozens of them in the building because it was still under construction.
gas cylinders were blown in every direction also setting fire to the surrounding hills.
Just as I was snapping, the fire flared up and the firefighter in the photo really stood out in contrast. I got a lot of great photos that night.

My goodness, David, what a shot! Excellent capture of a dramatic and terrible moment. BTW, "boom" sounds like something blew up.. do you know what it was?

That fireman was pretty lonely overthere... Where are his mates?

Superb shot. You were lucky in many ways. First that you were not injured by the nearby explosions. Lucky to be on the spot to take photos .
But very talented to take such image. Bravo. This fireman look so lonely and useless against this blazing fire...

i remember standing on that intersection with you. it was a rainy, march night but the heat from the blaze was intense. i remember being scared like hell as i saw the hills burn the first time, but as i understood the situation more, i enjoyed it.. as it turned out, this is typical korea!

Amazing work! This one looks just like a scene from a movie!

A great reporter picture, and the fireman in action is a bonus. You were lucky not to be wounded!
