Today at a little festival there were a group of inline skaters showing off there moves. The colour of the cones and the yellow lines really caught my eye and i came up with this.
Slight sharp hue and saturation altered in PS

simple, extremely graphic and very pleasing to the eyes, Peter.
colors are excellent, as well as your compo and the fact the skate is not aligned gives your image a nice dinamism.
very well done. it makes a modern poster.
congrats, i wish it was mine!

Very eyes catching shot. The yellow lines crossing left corner and yellow shoes and cones makes nice composition. I love it very much.

very nice composition Peter, the 3 diagonal yellows make it very graphic and the blured roller blades are the cherry on the cake...

You definitely have a good eye for a strong graphic composition, simple and minimalistic, every single element plays an active role.
The weird angles of the skaters feet and the blur is of course the most important part, but the texture of the road surface is also a strong element. The pure yellow and black colours are distinctive too. Very interesting.

Peter, I like your perspective, not only this shot. You see the edges of the image, the less obvious composition. You bring the shapes and colors together in a new way. Excellent!

Greaaaaaaat !!! I just love the graphical qualities of this shot. The blur rollers and the yellow dominance... This really could have been an advert for a brand of rollers...

Okay I cannot resist critiquing this photo ... all the black space of the tar filled by the yellow lines and pile ons and than green wheels of the skate. and than you have the legs of the person that are blurry due to motion ... the stance of feet telling the viewer about the dexterity of the skater ...
Very impressive composition man ... I like it a lot
tfs ... cheers .... sarju
PS: maybe you should repost this photo with some minor changes and also mention in the title that it has been nominated for the best photo thing on BBC

Simple and quite graphic, your composition has impact and great appeal. I like how you chose to capture your subject, following diagonal lines. The colors and textures are great. The skater in action adds a nice dynamic touch. Quite original. Well done, Peter.
