A wet, dreary day at the Deoksugung, a palace complex dating from the 15th century. It is a very peaceful site located in one of the busiest areas of downtown Seoul.

Scanned from a print.

A really nice look into South Korean culture, and a very pleasing image. I like the way we "know" that we're seeing a mirror of the POV across the courtyard. The modern building in the background is a nice anachronistic touch. Some might have been tempted to clone it out. I like it.

I like the way I feel like I am in the photo. When will that rain stop! Great feel.

Great muted colors and sense of joy as we emerge from the darkness. i also appreciate shots of people from the back, unpopular though these are at TE. Love the ole umbrella, radiating hope.
Best regards, Francis

Its a nice photo. Composition wise, I like how the door frames the building. Its as if a door is opening on another world. Composition wise, its very nice. Scanning this I think reduced the quality of the shot, it looks almost sepia. But I know that scanners never do justice to our photos. Its avery nice perspective on a nice calm scene. Welcome to TE, I hope you will be a contributor in the Sout Korea section which has only a handful of regular members.

Hi Che...
I wish you had moved more to your right as then you would have got a perfect symmetry of the opposite side. I like the way you took this shot from a darkened passageway.
Nice shot

Good image. I like the mood and the shapes.

South Corea is a country I have never visited. Asia is so big and has so much interesting culture and nature, so I have to hurry, to see at least a little bit of it all. This pagoda reminds me of the one Beijing, Forbidden City, but this is smaller of course. Nice picture!
