Photographer’s Note
A quiet corner of Ilsan Beach & Bay. The main beach is 1 km to the left. A speedboat can be seen on the horizon. The Hyundai Shipyard was visible in the original, on the horizon, & I've cropped it out. Taken just before sunset, so the colour temperature is very warm with lots of yellow red. Here's a 'Konglish' (mixed Korean English) description:
"24km ‐ (from Ulsan City): off from Bang‐eo‐jin Harbor in southeastern Ul‐san, Il‐san Beach is 400m in length, 80m in width, an area of 0.32 square meters and it has fine sandy shore, moreover, a stream runs across of this place, so you can also feel fresh‐water swimming.
It is along mountain ridge of the lighthouse at Ul‐gi.
This beach is so shallow, a little bit inclined that is a proper resort for family.
Around there is Ul‐gi Park(Il‐san Public Garden), which has strange‐shaped rock cliffs and a pine grove.
You can feel relieved through its fresh pine smell. As it has embedded with city manners, it's very different from simplicity or mood of lonely fishing hamlets, but this place is the only beach with Jin‐ha Beach to the people.
Specifically, it has been known for scenic spot, which kings of the Shilla age had visited before.
Yeo‐gi Am is an off‐lying rocky islet, which was placed at Il‐san Beach. The Shilla kings enjoyed boating with their court ladies there, but now it has disappeared under the name of development long time ago and made people frustrating.
Il‐san Beach along Ul‐san downtown has crescent‐shaped sands, makes a beautiful sight with deep‐blue East Sea.
As a unique place, under the scorching sun of summer, countless numbers of people in Bikinis visit and in spring, fall, winter, many dating couples visit here.
Transportation: It is along the mountain ridge of the lighthouse at Ul‐gi.
Driving from downtown toward Bang‐eo‐jin Harbor, you can see a three‐way junction where Hyundai motors factory ends.
Go straight along the road by the sea, you can see Bang‐eo‐jin Harbor and after driving more 2km, you can meet Ul‐gi lighthouse (Il‐san Public Garden)."

Namaste Chris,
nice presentation of this nice perspective with a brilliant point of view. Great to see the sea water from here. Inclusion of the plants in foreground made it more attractive. Very well done. Tfs.
Have a nice day.

Hi Chris.
Quite an ambitions shot, this one, with light and shadow, close-up and distant detail. But the exposure and any PP you might have done have worked very well. Hard to imagine there was a shipyard in the original - good cropping. The photo conveys the late afternoon atmosphere very well. Those trees have a sort of bonsai look about them.

Andrew

Hello Chris,
I like the lovely warm tones in this fine composition. The point of view is well chosen nicely framed by the trees, which benefit from a pleasing light and shadow play. Very good colours and sharpness.

Hi Chris,
The reflections on the water are assets to the composition. The trees are framing well the bay. The point of view takes our eyes toward the bay which is giving depth to the photo. The colors are enhanced by the quality of the light. Have a nice day.

The golden light is illuminating the scene beautifully. It's a pity we can't crop things we don't like from real life. ;D Not easy to get the focusing right for a scene such as this. The foreground is slightly out but not enough to worry about.
Well done

ciao Chris,

Excellent dimanche mon Ami

Another charming seascape. Those pine trees are really fantastic and remind of Zen paintings. I like those herbs in fg and the reflections in the sea.
(In my monitor though, the background looks a bit overexposed)
Very wise and artistic composition.
Best regards,
Donato
