Curves at Boseong Tea Fields Photo

Photographer’s Note

A close detailed shot, of the green tea fields of Boseong, in south western Korea. The Tea is best seen in summer.

From 'Korea Sparkling' website:

"The Boseong Dawon Tea Plantation is on the southwest coast of the Korean Peninsula. The temperate climate of this region is ideal for green tea cultivation. This plantation was established in 1957 with rolling hills reaching heights of 350 meters. For those visitors hoping to see some of the filming locations of commercials and TV miniseries, it will take approximately one hour. The ideal months to visit are May-August."

Wonderful graphic image evidenced by all the parallel curves. Good framing so the curves emerge from the bottom corner.
You once asked my opinion on the D300 as you were contemplating going digital. I see you decided to stay with film!

Amazing pattern and sense of depth. Great POV also. It's only pity that there is a little OE that affects the clarity, but on the other hand the high contrast enhances the pattern effect.

Hi Chris,

The different geometric lines of the tea fields are assets to the composition. The trees are framing well the tea fields. The point of view is showing the deatils and colors of the field. The luminosity is giving a good contrast to the colors. Have a nice day.

Tea fields can like rice terraces produce amazing lines and a green colour of stunning freshness!
The point of view works well to record the pattern, the scene is well framed and the image has a fine feeling of depth...
