Photographer’s Note
The same hillside temple near Gwangju as in an earlier shot this week (Wonhyosa Temple). I liked the symmetry of the reflection as I enjoyed a cool drink in the shade at an outdoor table & chairs. Mid August in Korea is very hot & humid.
This part of the temple compound appears to have been converted into a kiosk, & is adjacent to the carpark. I've alreafy uploaded a shot of the main temple complex on the hill at left.

Hi Chris,
Nice idea, with heavier rain the reflection could have been even better... I find quite interesting to see the temple basement iis hidden beyond all these signs and posters, any idea what's written on them ? ("Eat at Joe's" or "Have a drink at Kim's")
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves

Hi Chris,
Great POV. Superb colours... I like reflections of temple in water... Looks like some old temple, that way cables don't look to good here - but maybe that way it look so great?:) So mystic, and unrealistic...
Geat job Chris!

Great shot, Chris. Good light and a clear reflection of this interesting-looking temple. I think perhaps a closer crop (less sky and foreground) would perhaps have been even better, but I like it as it is too. Regards,
Ryno

Hello Chris,
It's amazing how useful puddles can be sometimes ;-). You have taken good advantage of the one here to turn an ordinary scene into something more interesting. A closer crop all round would possibly help strengthen the composition, but still good to see.

Hi Chris,
Very resourceful in using the water in the street for reflection ... very good effect as it adds dimension to the scene. Well captured and composed with good image quality. Well done! tfs

It is amazing how you got an excellent reflection just from some rain water on the ground. The nice POV and good colours of this temple which, with all the things it has around look more like a restaurant! Well done.

Hello Chris,
I like how the temple reflects in the puddle!
What is surprising and maybe not so attractive is the commercials around the building, and I don't really understand why they mix this with a place of worship...
Image is well composed and a good documentary of the situation!

Well made compo Chris with good use of the foreground water puddle. Interesting temple - beside the special architechture it could be mistaken to be a roadside restaurant... with all the signs there..

It looks like it has been a pretty temple before all the kiosk signs arrived. Well seen to spot the reflection in the puddle, where most of the ugly signs are not included.

I'm a big fan of reflections, so I like this kind of shot, where you get the straight on view, and then the reflection too. Great use of the puddle of water to make something more interesting here. Well done!

Bonjour Chris,
cette fois je dois avouer que je suis un peu plus satisfait de tes lumières, moins saturées, moins surexposées.
Bien cadrée pour exposer les reflets et les couleurs sont appétissantes.
Seuls les fils gênent un peu.
Excellent week-end.

Hi Chris. Nice use of the low shooting angle to make good use of the puddle. The colors are nice and varied and make for a strong focal point. For some reason I don't mind the power lines. tfs Chris!

Hi Chris,
There is always a lot of possibilities and surprises after the rain and I am really thrilled with this one. The reflection on the pool created such a nice visual impact while there is the air of freshness all around. Very impressive!!

Hi Chris,
The POV is superbe. You used the water puddle not only to get the temple reflected but to act as a great lead-in.
Like Jean-Yves, I feel the place rather strange: if it wasn't for the roof, it would look much more like a roadside restaurant than like an old temple.
Regards, José.

The temple and his construction is very nice.

Namaste Chris
Good reflection of the temple complex in the puddle. Surprised to see the banners & signage. In fact the reflected sky is better than the actual. Good compo. for this very nice pic.
