Photographer’s Note
In Gwangju there are many temples worth exploring. One temple I found had quite a few burial plots for famous Buddhist monks. Actually, monks aren't burried, their ashes are burned. So these plots often contain the ashes and are a marked reminder of the past.
Stone lions are placed in the entrance to ward off evil and protect the monks in their future lives.

Hi David,
Beautiful composition, with nice colours and good contrats.
Very good sharpness, we almost can ear the lion roar.
Good work

David, I like the colors, light and texture of the image.
I think that the fact that the BG is in focus shifts the attention from the Lion to the tree. I'd try a lens blur in PP to keep the attention on the lion.
See you around,
Enrique

Hi David
A very good composition & nice sharp image. But I tend to agree with Enrique about blurring the the tree & burial ground to maximise the lion's effect.
Good framing

i didn't think stone lions could roar.. oh well. i like the contrast of the different colours. i'm not fazed by the dof. i like the look of the pots. i gues it depends on what you want to be the focus of the photo: lion, pots or both. congrats on 1400!!
