Photographer’s Note

A rare black and white shot for me, but hopefully more will come.

I went to a 'famed' antique market the other day, but in reality it was a glorified junk market. Things were expensive and often in a dreadful condition, but it did present some photo opportunities.

These three men were sifting through some old records, but I wouldn't wager any money on them actually working!

good action. What I think the best part of this shot is is the man holding the record up. I would have loved to see you emphaize that part of the situation more. The framing is fine.

So enjoybale for the me this scenery as a collector of vinyl records.I feel the the sense of discovery the rare stuff in mint condition:).Well choose of black and white to give an old style to the scene.I like it very much!

Hi Will,
I like the dynamism of this shot and the serious looks on their faces. It is a well captured moment. However, I believe it is unfortunate to have the vehicle in the background. It seems a bit distracting. Cheers, Paul.

Interesting scene in the antic market with B&W increasing the nostalgic feeling and the repetitive vinyls adding a touch of graphism.

Hey Will,

Those 'vinyl' records comes as vintage collectables nowadays. Ha! 'glorified' market, that's new!?$@ Well one might get lucky finding the right stuff!

The B&W format is perfect for this shot, gives more attention to those LP's despite that SUV's wheels trying to get in the picture, but it did work very well here!
