I think pictures of temples and palaces do tend to get boring and repetitive, so I don't have any in my gallery.
Except for this one. It is Deoksu Palace (덕수궁) located near Seoul City Hall. It was once inhabited by Korean emperors and royalty until WW2.
In the background, are several tall city buildings, which are a stark contrast to the old palace in style, height and shape.
I was thinking of touching-up the colour of the sky, but as it usually is gray throughtout Korea most of the time, I've left it as it is.

I spent six months in Korea a few years ago, and this picture reminds me indeed of how ancient and very modern architecture blends seamlessly in Seoul. Thanks for posting! If you crop out the unnecessary part of the overexposed sky, this photo will look much better!

A beautiful and soothing shot - as if a small part of an ancient garden was carried through centuries into a modern city.

It is nice how you showed here old and new architecture. One can see the contrast between the sharp straight lines of the modern buildings and the soft whimsical shapes of the old temple roof which is also situated in the soft crowns of trees...
