The South Gate Photo

Photographer’s Note

This is the Ancient south gate to the city of Seoul. It's currently situated in middle of a very very busy 8 lane road, geting a shot of it without a bus infornt of it is a miricle. As you can see, this miricle almost happened, but the blur of the tail lights tell a different story. I liked the effect though.

I like the effect because concentrate the preminence in the rest of the elements on the image.

wow.. you've suddenly surpassed yourself with this shot. the quality of your shots is getting a lot better. looking through your gallery, i can see your improvement, which is awesome. this shot works really well. it would look great as is, or without the bus. that's the beauty of your shot. i've always been a fan of namdaemun, and this seals it.. thanks a lot

It's not an usual view of this place. All the picture i saw of it was in the calm, without any car or bus, i think you caught the reality in this shot. Speed, animation, noise... all Seoul is in this photo ;) Good work.

this is a great shot steve ... i've been looking at this gate for months thinking about how i could get a decent shot of it. i had actually wanted to cut out the buildings entirely.

but this is a really good view of the gate and your slow shutter effect has worked really well.
