Photographer’s Note

Korean society is built around the culture of the family. Wandering the streets one afternoon I was touched by the way the young child reached uot his had to help his grandfather in a way more respectful than I can describe. I didn't even need to see the faces to see the sincerity.

Sometimes looking at faces is not necessary as in this case. The kindness and love for each other is heartfelt. Very nice image with an excellent human touch. The composition is clear and the light helped you with the colours. Nice work Greg.

Well, this picture sure tells a little wonderful story. Makes me think of my Grandpa, 50 years ago, and the way we spent our summer days together while my parents were off to work...

This image is superb by its colors and its framing. I am sensitive to the humanity which is released some. On our premises the culture of the family is put at evil by the stretching of the bonds for the many ones of reasons of which exacerbated materialism. Cheer.

I didn't think you were keen in street life...
I think this shot is well focused twice: every detail is well defined and sharp and the focus is on the hands of grandfather and child. Really a nice scene, where you can feel the concentration of them all which in turn attracts our concentration.

I agree with Fulvio that this is one of those photos "worth 1000 words", all the more powerful because - as you say - we don't even need to see their faces, the gestures are eloquent enough. the red bike adds a great colour accent to this fascinating daily life scene, I'm glad you decided to re-visit your archives.
