From Wikipedia:
The Korea Train eXpress (KTX) is South Korea's high-speed rail system. It is operated by Korail. The train's technology is largely based on the French TGV system, and features top speeds of 300 km/h or more. On December 16, 2004, the Korean-made HSR-350x achieved an experimental top speed of 352.4 kilometers per hour.
After 12 years of construction, the Gyeongbu Line (connecting Seoul to Busan via Daejeon and Daegu) and the Honam Line (Seoul to Gwangju and Mokpo) opened on March 31, 2004. Using high-speed track for only part of the distance (from Seoul to Daegu), the new line cuts travel time between Seoul and Busan from the Saemaul-ho's 4 hours and 10 minutes to 2 hours and 40 minutes, and between Seoul and Mokpo from 4 hours and 42 minutes to 2 hours and 58 minutes. A further improvement to 1 hour and 56 minutes on the Gyeongbu Line is expected in 2010, when the train will begin to run entirely on high-speed tracks.
The initial trainsets are TGV-A models with minor modifications. In all, 46 trains will be built - the initial twelve in France by Alstom, the remainder in South Korea by ROTEM. The tracks were built with technical assistance from SNCF technicians.
The next generation of KTX trains, the HSR-350x, is based on the TGV-R trainset, but with over 80% locally produced in Korea. The trains may be introduced into service as early as 2008.

Hi Greg,
A train enthusiast like me could not miss this exotic version of our TGV, build is the same only colors and probably interior layout differ as it is the case with the spanish version I have been travelling on. very good PoV to get in in a depth setting diagonal and including plenty of nice railway material around as well.
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves

Hi Greg,
I like your diagonal view here where the trains runs out smoothly to the upper left of the image. The tracks make it a nice composition. Think your pov is really good here...gives a good impression how large those trains are...well done.

Bonjour, cher Greg,
J'ai regardé votre album avec beaucoup d'intérêt. J'aime votre éclectisme et votre façon de mettre en image notre environnement.
Ici, encore, vous faites preuve d'un regard très aigu sur cette vue.
Félicitations.
Amitiés.

Hello Greg,
Excellent image of railway urban traffic. Your framing is superb and shows the beauty well that one can draw from the technical installations. Cheer. I have an image of the same type to deposit a little later.
Good Day

Greg,
Nice composition and POV here showing the train disappearing out of the back of the frame. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail. The overhead framework creates appealing repetitive patterns throughout the photo.

Hi Greg,
Well chosen viewpoint showing this long train on diagonal angle. Indeed the looks is very much like TGV. One minor detail I wish would be different is showing arriving train instead of this leaving with red 'eyes'.

Hi Greg,
Well composed from a superb POV. The overhead wires combine with the rail tracks here for great lines and graphism. There is a sense of dynamism with the train and I like the way the eye is drawn to the orange light. Well captured...later.

Greg,
nice to see the french TGV on South Korean soil. You definitively explored the moment with that diagonal approach at its best. I have the impression that this train wasn't at full speed, otherwise your 1/160 seconds never would have cpatured it so razor sharp.
2 more weeks and than you're gone, huh? Good move, wherever it might take you!

Hi Greg,
This photo enjoys excellent depth and wonderful converging lines with the tracks crossing. The colors are very clear and the details sharp with a very infromative note as well.

Hi Greg. 300 K/Hr with the wheels on the ground! A few of the boy-racers in this place would be wetting themselves at the prospect ;-). Great photo. You have captured the patterns of the overhead metalwork with the train itself taking centre stage and drawing the eye right into the image. Nicely crafted photo. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Paul.
