Photographer’s Note
Not many days during the year are the streets this empty. Today the weather ended up being nice and I took advantage of it. This was shot at mid day and the road is usually wall to wall shoppers by then. This is part of the central shopping district in the center of Daegu.

hi greg
another strong shot here. it's always rare to see a usually busy place so quiet. it must have been eerie. i like the vertical signs along the sides. well done and happy new year!

Wow, this is a good shot. I think I have actually been there and it is strange to see it without all of the shoppers. The compression of the signs makes for an even more interesting shot, great work!
I will also let you know the next time I am in Daegu too.

Hi Greg,
It must be interesting being an outsider in Asia. This does have a different look - it is a bit like a modern Japanese city street, but with 1/1000 of the population! And at mid-day!
Photographically the image is fine, but I would have liked to see it a tad further lower so the feet were not touching the bottom of the frame.
