The description of Ilsan Lake Park is as follows :
The park, with the largest artificial lake in Asia, stretching from Juyeop-dong to Janghang-dong, Ilsan, was opened in 1996. It has gained a popularity among many people including Goyang residents as a place for leisure. The park has well kept its natural elements to provide a rare chance to people to take a rest in the nature: it provides a beautiful lake-side scenery and other convenient facilities such as a lake-side plaza, an artificial island a, a medical herb island, a nature learning center, Palgakjeong(octagonal building), an open stage, a boat club, a bike-only road, a botanical garden, a children's play-ground, an artificial waterfalls, and an open ground. It is a good place for a family to have a picnic. In addition, the Goyang International Flower Exposition is held every year in the park to enhance the competitiveness of domestic florists. |
