Photographer’s Note
probably not the best title, this is more of a tribute to the country where i have lived in the past 17 months and which i will be leaving in a few days. i have searched my archives for a better shot and i'm sad i couldn't find a more appropriate one :-(
this was taken in suwon, one of my favorite places in korea. technically and in composition probably not too strong, it's one of those images that you get emotionally attached to and can just wish it could better convey that special moment of your life to your viewer.
i am sorry i have not been able to be more active here on te lately, i am sure i have missed out on a lot of great photos :-( this will also be my last post for a few months, as i am embarking on longer trip to se asia. thanks for everyone for their suggestions and help on my planning and for all your constructive criticism on my pictures. i promise i will be back!

beautiful shot. I like the light and shadow. the composition also very nice - except may crop upper part until the bridge. I like the girl there, perfectly placed.

Hey Mark. What is great about this photo if the light. Looks like late afternoon "golden hour" to me. The girl looks great too. For me though, there is just too much wasted space on top. More zoom would have worked well for me on this one.
Have a great trip. Let me know where you are in the Phils b/w march 26-29.

Mark, this has great light and is a nice vantage point, it just needs something a bit closer to the frame (maybe to the lower right?).
Anyways, have a great trip man, take some great pics, and I look forward to seeing them on TE in a few months. Cheers!

See you soon, Mark... I'm sure you won't resist to come reading the TE news once in a while through your trip.
This is clearly to me an emotional shot saying bub-bye with already some nostalgia... a hand held up like that claims some hesitation before leaving... rememberings or moments that we would all wish to keep a bit longer.
Compowise, I think it would need a drastic crop on the right hand side and also the bottom where ther's too much empty space.
