Photographer’s Note
A Pension in Korea is not something you look forward to in retirement but something to enjoy today. Non-existent fifteen years ago (my last real visit there), they now abound in tourist destinations. Basically, they are hotels in custom built buildings and provide superior amenities at a little higher price. other type of accommodations 'Motels' are bigger and 'hotels' are bigger still. The 'YeoGwahn' (motels of old days) seem to be rare and left in the older dingy urban neighborhoods. Taken early morning from about 100 yards under cloudy skies at AhpMyeonDo, ChoongCheongNahmDo.
