Photographer's Note
Daegu is a city in South Korea, the fourth largest after Seoul, Busan, and Incheon with over 2.5 million residents.
The biggest draw of Daegu is this 350-year-old market. With its origins during Joseon Dynasty, the entire alley is lined with herbal medicine shops, acupuncturists, and all manner of traditional oriental medicine. Even if you're not looking for a cure, it's great fun to smell the earthy scents of dried roots and peer into glass jars filled with ginseng roots and other bizarrely beautiful cures.
