Ladies of the Temple

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| The image that most people have of Singapore is one of cleanliness and shops, I know that we certainly did before going there. The shops are there it is true, but also there is a wealth of religious and cultural diversity. This was at a Hindu Temple, just outside of Little India. It shows the temple laides entering for a sermon (for want of a better word) from visiting religious Elders. |

What a beautiful scene, what beautiful colors. Another way to see Singapore! The picture is a little blurry but with Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro it's easy to fit it. I think such a nice picture deserves it, to make it perfect.

Hi Nick, this is a great photo, full of vivid color and vibrant life. I like the way the colors match: their saris, the foliage in the background, the temple detail. The photo could've been a bit bigger, but it's still very impressive. Regards, Ryno
This photo evoques so many remembrances to me, and I like the colours and the framing. Bravo !
Cath.
I went there. The word you are looking for is puja. They make offerings to the Gods, then the food is holy, prasad. They take most of it home to bless their family, freinds, neighbors, who ever they want to share the blessings of the gods with.
