Photographer’s Note
This statue is in Chinatown. I liked the red of the background pillar with the bold characters that are still discernable despite the blurring. I had trouble getting the framing right and have cropped this slightly to remove some distraction on the right.

Wonderful shapes and lines in this image. I also like the different variations of red, gold and black that make this image what it is. To me your framing is right on the mark and I like how you included just a part of the statue. Very nicely done.

Great capture!
The blurred characters in the back work very well with the statue. Original composition.

Very efficient framing and DOF to put the statue in evidence against the background. I just find it too high. Perhaps some cropping on the lower part would help.

I like this. Good composition, interesting background, and I think your choice of aperture was pretty much perfect for this shot. Good work.

I think your composition here is original and just right. I love the red throughout, and the various chinese symbology. DOF is good. Well executed!

The colors (red and gold) throughout the image are quite complimentary. In addition the sharpness and composition are great.
