Very Cool Kaj,
Look how clean that floor is! It is interesting how neatly divided in two the frame is made by that counter. Very nicely composed. It isn't as intimate as most of your shots but it is certainly cool and thoughtful
Cheers

Hi Kaj, I don't think I caught sight of that before. What an absolutely brilliant idea. A very novel take on a scene so many of us TEers are familiar with.

An unusual and striking image.

Hi Kajal
Great picture. At the beginning, you wonder what's going on on the thumbnail. I love the separation between the employee's part and the travelers' side. It's two completely different worlds with different clothing ways, colours, etc... Makes me feel like getting on the road again !
Thanks for sharing ;o)

Great shot Kajal, a great way of documenting a situation from both points of view. The white floor is the key to this shot I think, anything else would detract attention away from the scene itself and make the shot too messy.

Bonjour Kajal,
Un point de vue surprenant et un graphisme intéressant. Les couleurs saturées sont belles. Photo pour le moins très originale. Merci.

Hi Kajal,
Nice framing and a very distinct POV. But the cropping seems to be a bit tight.
The fine thing is that it looks as two different pictures in the thumbnail.

Hi Kajal
This photo makes my head spin. The sharpness is incredible and we can see so many details. The way the colours stand out is excellent.

Interesting POV. The weary backpackers check in...juxtaposed with the busy front desk clerk.
Well framed.
Great Job.

Hi Kaj. Good shot I think and good thinking to catch this scene; not many notice this sort of thing. As TEers and travelers, I think checking in is a common thing for many of us and the viewpoint of looking seeing the people waiting somewhat impatiently while the guy does his computer thing is a feeling I can recall quite easily. The 50/50 division definitely gives an us vs. them feel, which I think it perfectly appropriate. I am only (slightly) bothered by the tight cropping on the right, having a little of the backpack and water bottle chopped. Strangely, I don't mind that the strap from her bag is clipped. Nice shot, I guess you are gearing up for your trip now.

Hi Kajal, I have to join the applause for this photograph which is wonderfully original and well executed. Your new 50/1.4 appears to be bringing a new dimension to your photography that is apparent even when you return to your trusty 18-55. I know you were have some problems adapting to the discipline of the 50mm but please persevere. The colour tones in your recent images also seem to be more subtle - have you changed how you process the RAW files? I see you too have less time for TE than you did - its contagious! Best wishes Stephen

Marvelous shot, Kaj. Excellent capture with a divided frame. I like how the couple's backpack point in two different orientations with respect to the frame. Vibrant color.

Hi Kajal. Wish I'd been to have a look at your gallery earlier. This one is clever (but deceptively simple really) and illuminates something about being in a foreign land. Viewpoint is nearly all in this one, but I find the girl's head resting on her hands to remind me very strongly of my own experiences, waiting for officials to practise zen and the art of stamping. Although perhaps that latter practice has succumbed to higher technology these days. The picture also has great clarity and depth. Really good, if you ask me.

Andrew

Hi Kajal,
Happened to browse through this wonderful gallery of your's...found this photograph...very very good! I have seen similar(angle/pov wise) pictures of elections...people voting in booths shot from above..and boy it does offer a perspective!
Good one here..
