Photographer’s Note

This shot was taken while I was still at the front of the audience (before being kicked out- see previous photos for the story).

A videographer at the concert gets some shots of the crowd before the band hits the stage. I though this would make a good shot as he was wearing his 'shades' while filming- maybe he was just looking to get his photo taken...

Good 'portrait' of this cameraman at work, Dan. I like it that you focused on the camera lens and his hands, rather than the face. This one seems to be even more noise-free than your other concert shots. Amazing performance from the 5D. This post prompted me to browse through your concert photos (which I hadn't seen before) and your notes - sorry you had so much trouble getting these shots. I usually abandon my SLR for events like these and just take one of my little P&Ss - as soon as these guys see anything that looks like a professional camera, they freak out! Cheers . . . David

Hey Dan,
Your equipment intimidated them! They had thought you might be working undercover with a magazine...I'd agree with David just bring a pocket P&S next time. If I was the band manager and took a look at the shots you made I would be wary and kick you out myself Hahaha...your good dude! Perhaps if you were sitted far away and had a telezoom?

Hey Dan. Great shot! This guy totally looks like a poser wearing his shades while filming, very funny stuff.

You have a pretty sweet setup there, the 24-70L on the 5D nice. Hard to get it sharper than that!
