The situation is quite interesting here... due to the dark background these columns look like lamps...
I think however it would look better if they were not tilted and there would be the same amount of space on the left and right side of them: so talking simply: I would cut the right side therefore putting this man into the middle...

You have caught the young priest unawares...
Your choice of Monochrome is very ideal...
However, with Monochrome shots, I like the subject focus to be sharp & a shallow DOF to bring out the content.
Also, The distractions in the frame could have been cropped.
I have added a WS. Hope this helps.
