Photographer's Note

CLARIFICATION: THE FRAMING IS THE ORIGINAL WINDOW FRAME AND NOT PHOTOSHOP CREATED FRAME. I GOT ALSO SUGGESTION FOR LANDSCAPE FORMAT, THE WINDOW DID NOT ALLOW IS (BECAUSSE THE WIDOW IS SHAPED IN PORTRAIT FORMAT).

After nature photos from Black Forest I’ve decided to post some interior photos which I’ve collected during my trips to miscellaneous countries.

I’m starting with photo from Ambdsudi’s country, beautiful Singapore, a photo showing a widow view to Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum, located in the heart of Singapore’s China Town.

It is a Buddhist temple based on the Tang dynasty architectural style and built to house the tooth relic of the historical Buddha. The ground breaking ceremony was conducted on 13 March 2005 and 2 years later, a soft launch was held to coincide with the 2007 Vesak Day celebration.

It also houses what Buddhist leaders regard as the Sacred Buddha Tooth Relic in a stupa composed of 320kg of gold donated by devotees.

Since opening, the temple has become a popular attraction within Chinatown. Simple vegetarian fare is served in the basement of the temple, though donations are accepted.

Today it is a living cultural monument featuring exhibitions relating to various facets of religious arts and culture of Singapore.

Other highlights found in this building include the Buddhist Culture Museum, Eminent Sangha Museum, Tripitaka Chamber, and a Theatre for cultural performances, talks and films.
