Singapore Botanic Gardens is a 74-hectare (183-acre) botanical garden in Singapore. It is the only botanic garden in the world that opens from 5 a.m. to 12 midnight every single day of the year, and does not charge an admission fee, except for the National Orchid Garden.
The first "Botanical and Experimental Garden" in Singapore was established in 1822 on Government Hill at Fort Canning by Sir Stamford Raffles, the founder of modern Singapore and a keen naturalist. The Garden's main task at that time was to evaluate for cultivation crops which were of potential economic importance including those yielding fruits, vegetables, spices and other raw materials. This first Garden closed in 1829.
It was not until 30 years later that the present Singapore Botanic Gardens began in 1859, when the Agri Horticultural Society was granted 32 hectares of land in Tanglin by the colonial government, which had obtained it from the merchant Hoo Ah Kay, known as Whampoa, in exchange for land at Boat Quay.
Laurence Niven was hired as superintendent and landscape designer to turn what were essentially overgrown plantations and a tangle of virgin rainforest into a public park. The layout of the Gardens as it is today is largely based on Niven's design. The Agri Horticultural Society, however, ran out of funds and, in 1874, the colonial government took over the management of the Gardens.

Those are great opening hours and it must offer the most amazing scenes as light falls or the sun rises to capture these many species in various light and color. Though I am not a big horticulture fan, I do find Botanic gardens beautiful places, and this one is particularly fine. The trees look so exotic and the angle you chose to shoot is really great, as that natural curve in the ground makes the scene very inviting and smooth.
Lovely idea to fill the foreground with color like this too.

Those are extensive opening times. Do they have attendants supervising the park? It's an early rise for some!
You have used the clump of orange flowers well, for f/g impact, whilst the curved pathway acts as a good separation line before the change to flat lawns and palm trees.
I always find places like this incredibly restful.
Have a great day,

a beautiful place and what a beautiful idea to make this glorious space free and so accessible. It looks so tropically verdant and inviting. I hope after 11 years that it still looks like this.

La visite du jardin botanique de la ville où l'on se trouve offre un petit moment de tranquillité et de calme dans la trépidation urbaine. C'est aussi de très belles photos en perspective.Tu as su profiter d'une très belle lumière.

reading your note and looking at this colourful scene it looks as if a stopover in Singapore could be on the cards the next time we travel down under.
The flowers in the FG are a pleasant introduction to a most attractive setting.

Very impressive commentary.
The colors of the garden have also come out excellently.
