Photographer's Note
This picture is taken from 15th storey. Light pollution in this city is serious but seems no one cares about it.
I never see milky way in my the sky before, did you?

Interesting night shot. I like the contrast between the tall buildings on the right and the smaller houses on the left. Why is that? Different part of town, different people? Good composition, my eyes wander along this road that curves from the foreground and then goes straight to the back and disappear. The lights makes it look like there's a fire in the trees!
I have lived all my childhood in a big city as well (Paris, France) and often felt like the real color of the night was orange! You get to see the moon, sometimes! :^)
Welcome to TE!

Your note is pretty sad Jie Kuan. Come and visit Sabah one day. There are place where you'd go trekking and camping. It seems your night in the city, is too bright and too warm to feel the night.

A nice view, it reveils much about the suburb. It is split into two parts - the darker lower buildings and the luminous higher HDBs. It makes the picture more contentful and interesting while the bright main road keeps the picture together. The scene has depth - one can see both details of the close buildigs on the left and blocks at the horizon. Indeed, it is a good composition.
Few improvements could be done. First is about the colours - the photo is far too yellow. Night photo does not necessary must be that yellow. A little more colours would make this picture much more pleasant, such as a little greener building visible on the right do. The yellowness usually can be ameliorated with the colour balance settings on the camera.
Shooting in evening shortly after the dusk would add a major blue colour into the picture - not only the sky would be blue, but also everything under it. The blue of sky and the yellow of lights could build quite a pleasant palette. Moreover, the evening sky would brighten the roofs on the left which would revealing some fine details.

Bellissima immagine, di grande atmosfera, tecnicamente ben eseguita, ha mentenuto il dettaglio sia dove è molto illuminata, sia dove c'è ombra!
