Beginning in 1977 as the 'Ferris Brothers' (Andrew, Tim and Jon) with friends Michael Hutchence Garry Beers, and Kirk Pengilly. The band renamed itself INXS in 1979 and moved from Perth to Sydney and began to play the pub circuit. Within a year had signed a record contract and released their first album "INXS".
The group rose to their Pinnacle with the album "Kick" (1987) with hits such as "New Sensation" and "Devil Inside".
The bands popularity declined from there as audiences became interested in harder edged alternative rock. Despite declining sales the band continued touring and recording for their dedicated fans into the late 90's until the death of lead singer Michael Hutchence in Nov. '97 brought the band to a close.
Though Terence Trent D'Arby took the frontman role for an abbreviated set at the opening of Sydney's Stadium Australia in 1999, Jon Stephens filled the spot for occasional gigs that took place through the end of 2003. The singer left to pursue a solo career. INXS was quiet throughout the following year, but in 2005 they teamed with reality-show maverick Mark Burnett for Rock Star: INXS, an elaborate, globally-televised audition that resulted in J.D. Fortune -- a former Elvis impersonator from Canada -- becoming the band's new lead singer.

yes a Canadian lead singer for this great band. Nice picture Dan. Very good idea of posting it in Black and White.

Absolute great shot, great impact on the movement of the players, really great work.
Thanks for the note also. Although i was never a big fan, the period with Michael Hutchence in it was there best i believe.
Choosing for BW is really a good one...i like this a lot..!!!

This shot is very intense. There is some sort of motion blur, and the position of each musician makes this photo very powerful. The b&w is well suited for this particular shot, and the frame is well done too. I don't know what to tell you to improve. I think you did a very good job here.
Very well done.

Hey Dan. You've got some awesome dynamics and movement. The focus on J.D. really pulls our eyes inward. The b/w gives it that gritty feel that I love.
