Photographer’s Note

Marina Bay in Singapore.

I don't think the big ship at the left is actually a dredger, but a barge. But I thought the title suited the grungy image.

It wasn't until I'd taken several photos that I realised my light meter was set to "Tungsten." That's why the picture turned out quite blue. The light greys came out turquoise too. Strangely, I think the effect actually adds to the image.

I adjusted the contrast because it was very dark on the rocks. I didn't have my tripod so I couldn't get the exact exposure I wanted in the fading light.

amazing colors of night! lighting and contrast is also nice. it is like a movie or video game(Resident Evil 4!). i really like it.

amazing colour gamma! At first I thought it was a scene from some scary movie about submarines or other battle ships!
The photo acquired serious mood with the "tungsten" settings. Interesting and unusual!

I like the different blues, and the light on the stones.
The barbed wire and the boat ready to go give a strange impression : it's time to leave this forbiden place, you know, like this great anticipation film, "children of men".
