Heelys, a heel skating shoe. Worn by many kids and teenagers in Singapore. They are rather irritating as the kids skates mindlessly in crowd places and the parents don't bother to remind them... I was knocked twice by kids skating on their heelys...

Only cropping...

I've seen these kids on the Heely skate shoes as well, here in China. Some schools have started to ban wearing them during school hours, but once school lets out the Heelys come back. Have to agree with you that they're quite dangerous.

The shot is perfect to illustrate the subject. All blurry, a kid with a school bag in a crowd...something is going to happen here any second now. Wonderful presentation. Well done!

good motion blur with the main subject and school bag just sharp enough to see what it is. I'm curious about these "skaling shoes", you'r not talking about roller blades aren't you ? it doesn't seem like it on the photo. I've never seen any skating shoes here in Canada, how about a close-up pic of it.

Nice addition to the SH, theres a lot of blur here, perhaps a bit to much as the bag should be sharper i think. I would also consider cropping the right hand side so the kid is walking into the shot.
Overall, great effect. Well done.

hahaha, I was just thinking of taking some of these the other day but figure the kiddies with their heelies are too fast for me creaking bones.

The heelies replaces the skooter, which replaced the inline-rollers, which replaces the....hahaha, you get the idea...

Surreal feel to the image

Cool!

I think the motion blur is excellent. Anyway, I hate those heelys...the children just zoomed past you or into you.

Dear Acryl, not one of your best photos - too much blur. I miss something to rest my eyes on, there is no visual anchor, so to speak. And, never having seen the vicious heelys, there's nothing in the picture presenting them or it to me, only the words of your note, but I prefer photos that tell stories by themselves.

WOW, it could be a hit those heelies. Great motion blur, and still very clear where to focus!
