Photographer’s Note

Here is one more picture for my photo album "Moscow at night", which I took recently right before Catholic Christmas with one of my client from Texas, USA, and I have another title to this picture "Heart of Orthodoxy before Catholic Christmas" :-). Moscow is very festive during current winter holidays, a lot of garlands, illumination and Christmas decorations. If I will have a chance to make a picture of our Christmas trees during this holidays I will definitely show you the best one because of all my recent clients told me that they are different and very attractive with colorful illumination.

The Kremlin of Moscow is stronghold of the city; it is historical center and heart of Russia. Till end of 15th century most of the city had been inside the Kremlin walls, but from the reign of famous grand duke of Moscow Ivan III "The Great" (grandfather of first Russian tsar Ivan IV "The Terrible") the Kremlin became the official Tsars residence with just several most powerful nobles and a head of the Orthodox church, who lived inside. Italian architects built the present Kremlin fortifications at the end of the 15th century. Moscow Kremlin fortress was one of the most fortified in Europe, even more than the ones in Milan and Krakow.

This picture I took using a telephoto lenses and a fence of Patriarch bridge (which leads to cathedral of Christ the Savior)instead of tripod :-)
