A zoom shot, with a 210 mm lens, of the blue trolley car, that regularly climbs to the top of the hill overlooking Vladivostok. I also liked the gold cupolas of the church, & the green turrets on the castle like building at left. For a wide angled view, from the summit, please see the workshop. (if you look closely, you'll see the green turrets far below)
This is a wide-angled view workshop
From Maria Lebedko / W.S.U.: "A cable car can take you up along the funicular rail constructed in 1962: it offers a breath-taking view of all of central Vladivostok. The Funicular provides a shortcut from Pushkin Street up the precipitous slope of Orlinoye Gnezdo (Eagle’s Nest) Hill to its spectacular overlook. The name was earned when the first settlers climbed to the top of the hill and there found an eagle’s nest with the eaglets still inside."

Hi Chris, Good clear composition showing how hilly parts of Vladivostok really is, very few photos of this city. I like the POV and the mix of building you show us. TFS. Murray.

A very interesting mix of architecture with the trolley car making a pleasing focal point.

Hi, my friend!
East Russia. Very interesting. I was only in western Russia. Interesting new architecture. Good colours and nice light. Well done.

Your WS photo is even more interesting, but here I like the mixture of various styles of architecture, some nicely renovated - Vladivostok ! How far from here...

strange mixture of different architecture. Modern and without interest in the background, modern and well thought at the left, old and full of style with the church at the right and at the background some also older, a bit more simple but well done. The car in all that is nearly hidden but well captured. Very green shot.

Excellent "blending" of nature and architecture! Fantastic POV and composition, great light managment and beautiful colours. The blue cable car is a "bonus". Congratulations!

They seemed to like these funicular railways - I was in Kiev last year and they had one too, but that one goes down, not up. Nice shot giving us the overview of the city. I had to laugh when your note mentioned Pushkin Street, because every city and town in Russia has a statue or street for Pushkin! Nice work!

Interesting view over the city, from a good pov, with the good capture of the funicular naturally framed in between the trees. Nice color saturation too!

An informative photo as we seldom see photos of this distant city - and with the workshop we see more. Tfs, Marlene
