Photographer’s Note
Several days ago I posted first picture Domes of St. Basil's: 7 of 9 on my website and TrekLens with details of decorations of beautiful domes and towers of famous cathedral in Moscow well-known as St. Basil's. Originally this cathedral was called "The Cathedral of the Intercession of the Virgin on the Moat".
The cathedral which was erected by order of famous Russian Tzar Ivan IV (The Terrible) in 16th century before the conquest of the Kazan, one of the capitals of Tatars and Mongols Kingdom. Design of St. Basi's Cathedral comprises nine individual chapels, each topped with a unique onion dome and each commemorating a victorious assault on the city of Kazan. All these chapels were replaced the former wooden churches, situated on a single foundation. Intercession Cathedral became the symbol of Russian architecture. The building houses the hole relics of two famous Moscow wonderworkers - Basil The Holy Fool (Blessed) and Ivan nicknamed "Big Cup".
Each chapel is different in design and decoration. At the time, this unique cathedral was the tallest building in Moscow. St. Basil's Cathedral was built of brick which was a fairly new construction material at the time. On this photo you can find 4 of 9 amazingly attractive domes of St. Basil's Cathedral. Names of chapels you can learn on my website :-).
Hope that this picture, taken from another angle, will be interesting for you too.

This church is surely one of the world's treasures, and what makes it so is those incredible domes. I like this shot because of the way you zoom right in on those and show is some amazing detail of them. Great job of framing these as the photo is well balanced too. Excellent work!

How sunny and clean they look Arthur. Each time I look at this building, I am amazed at the brickwork they used 450 years ago.
Well composed image, the colours are clear and the blue sky emphasises the shapes and colours. Well done
