Photographer’s Note

This is the view from the slopes of Ebeko volcano on Paramushir Island.
The remote island - is Atlasova island, which is mainly volcano, named Alaid. Alaid (2339m)is the northernmost and the highest volcano of Kuril Islands chain.
Japanese extreme skiers and snowboarders often come to climb Alaid and then ski down its slopes.
There are guided tours to this volcano if anybody is interested.

It is really gourgeous! Amazing picture with nice colors! Like the valley and the mountain we can see in the horizon up to the level of the clouds! Nice photo

Hello Olga,
I admire your compositoon in this shot. The detail is superp in the foreground, however, the presence of the mountain appearing out of the mist in the background is simply beautiful and very mystical. Great capture.

This is a perfect shot. You have captured the entire surreal atmosphere so beautifully. The distant peak looks like out of nowhere.
