Photographer’s Note
The main simbol of Astrakhan and its Cremlin is Assumption Cathedral (1698-1710) which dominates over the city and nearby Volga. Built by masters from Yaroslavl, it retains traditional features of Russian church architecture, while its exterior decoration is definitely baroque. Left is cremlin belltower (1908-12) encased Prechistenskie belfry gate. Hope you enjoy the picture.

Hello,
Très belle photo, les coupoles vertes ressortent bien dans ce doux blanc.
Bravo et belle soirée.

Hi Denis,
A classical but very nice framing for this magnificent church. The white sky behind suits very well... I could hardly imagine it with a blue sky in the rear.

Beautiful, sharp shot of this pretty cathedral, Denis, and I think the white sky background is perfect for it, regards, Daniel

Hi Denis - normally I don't like a white sky, but is so well suited in this instance, with the whites of the cathedral, which is itself a very beautiful structure.
