Photographer’s Note
Lets me to continue the tour to the beautiful town in Moscow Rigion, Zvenigorod. You have already seen interesting churches on the way to this old, famous town: the church of the Savior in Ubory, the church of Transfiguration in Bolshie Vyazemy, so now it is time to see one of the main attractions in Zvenigorod - the St. Savva Storozhevsky monastery, which was founded by the pupil of Great St. Sergius of Radonezh (who founded famous Holy-Trinity Lavra in Sergiev Posad).
The St. Savva Storozhevsky monastery has rectangular shape and situated high above the confluence of two rivers - The Moskva and Storozhki - in wooden uplands. I have made a lot of photos inside this famous monastery, and later, I am going to show you some very interesting palaces and churches. On this picture I wanted to show you the entrance into Savva's monastery. Above the gates you can see the icon of Christ the Savior and sign on Russian "Christos Voskrese!" (Eng: Christ Risen!). When I was there with my client from Canada in May, it was about two weeks after the Russian Easter...

And I say, "Amen to Christos Voskrese!"
Hello Arthur, and what an entrance way to the monastery. I do like your POV showing us the monastery through the archway. And it is good to see the gate as well. Well portrayed my friend,

Nice use of the arch to act as a natural frame for the scene, with the church and clouds appearing as a picture in a frame. Beautiful work!

Bravo, Arthur! And hello. :) I am "back to treck" little by little, probably just got my time more organized. Hope to catch on commenting more soon, with the coming holidays and therefore, more days off! I really like the natural frame and the composition of your photo and the colors, of course - your trademark! Irina
P.S. I also wanted to add that I am happy that you are here with your photos, that help me to know my original country (even though I was born and lived in Ukraine, I "was born in the Soviet Union, I was made in the USSR" - this Gazmanov's song is just about me) and "virtually visit" places where I've never been... Spasibo za tvoi fotografii, ja vsegda ih s interesom smotryu. - I always view them with interest. IP
