Photographer’s Note
My previous picture I took from the special viewing site located on a hill (nice to hear that you liked those composition). The sky was covered by very grey dark clouds and I could predict that it will be very strong rain, even storm, very soon. So that, I returned back to my car right at the moment when it was started rain. Fortunately, not so heavy as I thought. We had a chat with my client during several minutes and I almost run engine to return back to city after long trip to Moscow Countryside during the day, BUT... it was like miracle, the rain stopped at those moment and sky cleared up a little bit on the side and the church became lighted through the dramatic dark clouds... looking even more impressive then I had seen it before. It was already evening time and we were pretty tired, but I concentrated all my energy and run out from my car toward to the church, holding my new camera in one hand and preparing camera for the new shooting by another hand . I remember, that I was making the new pictures almost non stop moving, because of I was very afraid that this beautiful sun light illumination could be disappeared.. all around this area were very dark skies...
The Church Mother's of God Sign in Dubrovitsy, was erected by Italian masters in 1704 according to the order of prince Golitsyn, a teacher of Peter the Great. Among its special features is the golden crown instead of a usual dome. Peter I attended the procedure of new church consecration, but since the very beginning the building in baroque taste was a matter of disputes and disapproval of official Russian Orthodox figures. The church has been closed and opened for several times during its 300 history.

Hi Arhtur
Another shot from this mystical church, but a closer shot, pal.
Very interesting in details of this church's architectures features.
Moreover, you got it in time when the glommy sky provided a dramatic backdrop.
Great shot, Arthur.
Cheers and good day.

Bonjour Arthur,
Daniel.

Stunning Arthur, the sunlight shining on the building is awesome, showing off the magnificent building so dramatically. It looks quite golden in the low light and against the dark clouds in the BG. I reall well composed photo, and it doesn't look like you were rushing to take it.
Did your client take many photos too of these places you took her to?

Hello Arthur,
That's a very good light you carched and managed here on your picture.
Nice to have a foreground statue despite of the fact I would prefer it would be detached from the church.

Didier

Privet Arthur,
Well composed having the elements in succession, well framed too in vertical and of course the dramatism added by the light contrast against the clouds is what makes this one attractive.
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves
P.S. Hey, upgraded your hardware ??? Congratulations ! How do you like it ?

Hi Arthur, this is wonderful lighting, and a great composition! I love the effect of the dark clouds behind the bright church. It really does look otherworldly. Thanks for sharing!

Well captured surreal mood. The dark cloud and the deserted abandoned landscape mood makes you wonder further about the place's history and relation to time. Interestingly, this is not the first time I hear about the controversy of some baroque structures since they could have a mystic vibe to them.
