Photographer’s Note
At 18h30 when we exit from the conference center, it was snowing on Moscow. Just on the right, there was some spotlight that light the side of the building. The snow in the light was making some strange flame. Its what we have on this picture.
The snow flake are not neat due to the fact that the light was quite low, and I have to make an exposure time of about 0.5 s.

I definately like this one! So simple, yet so informative!
There's a blizzard coming in! Heavy snowfall and gusty winds - possibly combined with drifting (or blowing) snow. Visibility is going down and there will be reduced breaking action, mostly due to patches of snow on the ground! There will be problems!
Every winter for more than 25 years have I been looking to spotlights like these, trying to predict what will happen and to determine what actions to take!
You reminded me that I don't have to do so any more; that I'm able to enjoy sitting at home, in front of my computer, only having to determine what photo to upload!
I find this (as many of your others) a remarkably good picture!

Very nice shot!
I like the line that is created by the snow flakes due to the long exposure time. Very nice colors, too.
Well done!

Great shoot Jacques! Really like the abstract painting dimension. The exposure of the snow really make an interesting look. I am just amazed that it is possible. Could be good when cropped away the spotlight too, but not sure of what I like best.

Jacques,
I like it, too. I think the slight distortion due to long exposure, etc. helps to make the shot. The red color of the background and the receding vertical lines help the composition, also. It is simple -- this is good.

Woww. Absolutely great shot. Very original. Did you carried a tripod with you in the conference ?

Merci pour le lien sur cette photo, la composition est excellent, une très belle présentation verticale. Les couleurs douces avec cette trace de neige au cente, très bonne idée, bravo.
